VoiceSmart Business Telephone Systems offer users a range of options to make or receive calls via the BT network or via the Internet through the services of a SIP-based Internet Telephony provider. However, if many of your international vendors, partners, customers or colleagues communicate with staff of your organisation using Skype then our VoiceSmart and Skype integration will be an ideal solution. VoiceSmart and Skype integration will allow users to make and receive cheap Skype calls via the VoiceSmart Business Phone System.

As Skype services are individual PC based, incoming Skype calls can usually only be routed to a particular person and cannot be transferred to another staff of your organisation. You also need to stay online to receive Skype calls and you receive only one call at a time. As it is simply not possible for your assistant or colleagues to answer your Skype calls on your PC, you may miss important calls or business opportunities when you are away from your desk or on other telephone line. Additionally, you will not be able to make a Skype call if your PC happens to be turned off. Furthermore, some organisations even do not allow Skype or other instant messaging programmes installed on individual PCs, hence ruling out all together the use of Skype.

Nevertheless, with our VoiceSmart and Skype integration solution (consisting of our VoiceSmart Phone System, a Vosky Skype gateway and a Skype dedicated PC), up to 8 Skype accounts can be managed centrally. With one Skype dedicated PC, there is no need for any other Skype programme to be installed on each individual user’s computer. Multiple incoming Skype calls can be routed simultaneously via the VoiceSmart Telephone System just like regular BT calls. Free international incoming Skype calls can be routed to your auto attendant, your receptionist or a hunt group and can be transferred to, forwarded to or picked up by any member of your organisation. By dialling pre-set speed dial numbers, you can also make Skype calls from your regular VoiceSmart IP business phones even when your PC is turned off. You can also make Skype outbound calls from your VoiceSmart Phone System, taking advantage of Skype’s cheap phone services.
